Edition 3 - Getting it Done

Welcome back all!!

For this weeks edition we are going to tell you about an awesome networking opportunity that we were fortunate enough to attend, some of our key values in action & we want to tell a true story about how we get the job done at all costs.

Firstly to kick us off, huge shoutout to Jackson Luke, a close friend and partner of ours in the business world for hosting & organising a networking dinner with business owners & entrepreneurs from all around the Gold Coast & Brisbane Area. We have been thinking and talking ourselves about how to surround ourselves with these kinds of people, so cheers Jacko.

Also a special mention to Balboa Italian. Incredible food! Highly recommend.

Next thing on the roster for this edition is something we value very highly as young men on our path to success. “Its far better to be a warrior in a garden, then a gardener in a war”. We often refer to us starting a business and getting on our way to success as us building our garden. But building the garden is only half the journey. The other half is building the warrior. What good is all the money, fame & all the rest if you haven’t built yourself into someone that is worthy of it. Putting yourself in uncomfortable positions doing things you dont want to do, accepting and encouraging pain as a tool for growth is absolutely necessary to build the “warrior” in you. For us, building our own warriors, we have just started doing Muay Thai out of Hanuman Muay Thai gym in Nerang.

And in all honesty, It SUCKS! But its also the best thing ever. When we say there is next to nothing that we wanted to do less than kicking another pad, or getting in the ring with someone that could take our heads off, we absolutely mean it. But Like a lot of things that suck, the feeling after you do it is unmatched. Despite our unconditioned, bruised shins, and aching muscles we didn’t know we had, knowing we have taken action in building ourselves into warriors neglects the short term state of pain and discomfort.

So, a piece of advice from us…

… Do something that sucks! Go for a run, read a book, start a business, talk to different people. Get uncomfortable.

The last thing we want to chat about is also something we value very highly we consider a point of difference is AUTHENTICITY.

Just a quick disclaimer: Generally, we are not about the party life, going out and all of that, but we do believe that there has to be some contrast in life and its healthy to spend time with mates and family and all the rest.

Recently, we have been locked in, productive and getting a fair bit of work done lately, so we convinced ourselves that we deserved a night out with the boys (It was a great night by the way). However, we had a shoot for Airlocker Training Burleigh Heads @ 9am which should be a reasonable time right? Well, long story short the night was passing quite quickly and the time was getting a bit ridiculous. Leaving out the minor details we arrived in Burleigh with all our equipment at 8:30am (with time to spare 😉) having gotten not one wink of sleep, ready to get the job done and back it up with a brutal session training at altitude.

The moral of this story is that even though 99.9% of the time we are prepared, planned, well rested and well equiped, regardless of any situation, we will be professionals and we will get the jobs done! Also video for Airlocker coming soon so stay tuned 😁.

Thank you all & will catch you in the next one.
